Customs

Entry formalities and Superyacht Clearance

We aim to make your arrival, stay and departure as streamlined and enjoyable as possible in Lanzarote. Superyacht customs procedures are very simple in and the island understands the value of encouraging yachts to visit and stay longer term. Entry forms can be sent in advance for completion prior to your arrival if you would like to save time, and we can make pre-agreed appointments to have any passports stamped that require border Police stamps. Clearance documents including stamped and signed berthing contracts showing previous and future destination ports and occupancy dates will be provided upon departure and refuse collection certificates are also available upon request.

Packages

If you are delivering or picking up any packages on the island it is necessary to have the invoice of the package goods, or a declaration of content and value, and have the passport of the recipient available for inspection.

Fiscal Framework

The Canary Islands have significant tax advantages within Spain and the European Union. Its economic and fiscal system is differentiated and permanently included in the legal framework of the European Union. This guarantees exceptional conditions for investment and trade. The Canary Islands Economic and Fiscal Regime (REF) includes particularities such as the following:

Bunkering

Superyacht bunkering can be arranged at any of Lanzarote’s superyacht marinas, whether you require MGO or AGO, we supply excellent quality fuel with full certification and best quality standards along with very competitive prices.

Our dedicated superyacht concierge team are available to assist with any request you have. Experts in yacht provisioning on the island they can help with everything from deliveries to your yacht, to recommending which health professional or gym you should visit.

Berths

Puerto Calero, Marina Rubicón, and Marina Lanzarote have floating pontoons providing either finger berthing or mooring alongside. You can find out more about each marina by visiting our Marina page.

Drinking water and electricity connections (3-phase up to 380v and 200amps) are available at all berths and free wifi is provided throughout all of Lanzarote’s superyacht marinas. Pump-out services can be booked; for MARPOL regulation tank cleaning, please try to advise us at least 48 hours in advance. The marinas have CCTV security cameras installed and 24-hour dock staff. Call on VHF ch.09 for immediate emergency assistance.

Please advise the marina office when you have large quantities of rubbish to be taken away. A refuse retrieval certificate can be issued if required and there are numerous rubbish bins and recycling points around the marinas. We are happy to supply storage containers that can be kept nearby on the hard and in proximity to your yacht. Please ask for assistance if you wish to have a container delivered.
