Description

There are no vineyards in the world like the ones you can visit in the Lanzarote wine region of La Geria. When the volcanic eruptions ended in 1736 the people of Lanzarote had think outside the box when trying work with the extreme environment they were now living in. A system using hoyas was developed where each individual vine is planted in a sunken hole and protected by fertile volcanic ash before the grapes are harvested by hand. The wine is exceptional and you will enjoy tasting varieties such as the famous Malvasia Volcánica, with expert sommeliers, followed by a full tasting menu in the Centenery winery.
