The Jameos de Agua is part of a natural volcanic tunnel with large opening in the roof formed around 4000 years ago. This geological masterpiece has been further enhanced by the late celebrated artist César Manrique into an arts and cultural venue. Jameos can be privately hired so yacht owners and charter guests can enjoy an exclusive dinner created by one of the most renowned chefs of the Canary Islands. Live music from classical to contemporary can be arranged to serenade diners and the view over the small, clear central lake from the open-air tunnel is sublime. Rita Heyworth once described Jameos as the eighth wonder of the world and it certainly lives up to its reputation.
